A visual homage to the trees that were alive in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, and Delaware in 1682, the year William Penn claimed his territory in Pennsylvania. Exploring the 1982 book, Penn’s Woods 1682-1982, written by former Green Valleys executive director, Hal Wertz, artists Margot Taylor, Carlos Alejandro, and Leah Wells, explore, through ceramics, photography, and mixed media, the 50 or fewer known remaining of these ancient trees still standing.
